Community Alert – 17th District – Armed Robberies (P17-N-107)
This alert gives notice of two recent Armed Robberies that have occurred within the boundaries of the 17th District (Albany Park). In both incidents, the victims were standing at CTA Bus Stops when they were robbed. In one incident, the offenders displayed a handgun and took the victim’s wallet. DUI Saturation Patrol – 25th (Grand Central) District

DUI Saturation Patrol – 17th (Albany Park) District
The Chicago Police Department will be conducting a DUI Saturation Patrol in the Albany Park (17th) District this weekend. The DUI Saturation Patrol will commence at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2017 and end at 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 23, 2017. The purpose of this program is to saturate a pre-designated area with roving police officers that continually monitor vehicular traffic for signs of impaired driving. This alert gives notice of recent Armed Robberies that have occurred in the 14th, 17th and 19th Districts. In these robberies, the victims (taxi drivers) pick up the offender as a fare and once at the destination, the offender announces a robbery by placing the victims in a headlock, placing what the victim believed to be a handgun to their head demanding money in two instances and producing a large knife in the other. Community Alert – 17th District – Attempted Robberies (P17-N-085)
This alert gives notice of two attempted robbery incidents that have occurred in April 2017 in the 17th District. In each incident, the victims were walking when the offenders pulled up in a vehicle and demanded money from the victims. In the most recent incident on April 9th, the offenders implied that they were armed with a firearm. In both incidents, the offenders fled the scene without taking any property from the victims. Community Alert – 17th District Criminal Sexual Assault (JA208737)
On April 1, 2017, at approximately 12:10 a.m., the 26-year-old female victim was walking southbound on the 4600 block of N. Monticello when three offenders approached her from behind and threw her to the ground. Two of the offenders held the victim down on the ground as the third sexually assaulted her.
