DUI Saturation Patrol – 11th (Harrison) District
The Chicago Police Department will be conducting a DUI Saturation Patrol in the Harrison (011th) District this weekend. The DUI Saturation Patrol will commence at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 5th, 2017 and end at 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 6th, 2017. The purpose of this program is to saturate a pre-designated area with roving police officers that continually monitor vehicular traffic for signs of impaired driving. On July 28, 2017 at 3:27 a.m., a pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle while walking in the street in the 3500 block W. Congress Parkway. The 42-year-old man was struck by an unknown vehicle matching the description below. Community Alert – 11th & 12th Districts – Seeking to Identify: Homicide Offender (JA348629)
On July 15, 2017 at approximately 4:57 a.m., on the 400 Block of N. Kedzie Avenue, a 60-year-old male, a Marine veteran, was walking from his residence to obtain dialysis treatment for diabetes when an unknown offender approached the victim, displayed a handgun (revolver) and demanded the victim’s wallet.
