The Chicago Police Department (CPD) is seeking community input on an initial series of policies and procedures as part of its ongoing reform efforts. You are invited to attend any of four Community Conversations on Policies meetings that will be held during the first week of February 2020. These meetings are open to the general public. Everyone is welcome to attend. Light refreshment will be served.
During the Community Conversations on Policies meetings, we will solicit input on the following topics. A one-page summary of each policy topic is available for review ahead of the scheduled community conversations. Click on any of the topics below to see a summary of the related policy:
1) Community Policing Strategies
2) Use of Force
3) Mental Health Incident Response (Crisis Intervention)
5) Prohibition of Sexual Misconduct
6) Supervisor Responsibilities
7) Interactions with Children and Youth

The Community Conversations on Policies meetings are open to the general public and serve as an opportunity to provide input on existing and newly created CPD policies. You will gain the unique and rewarding experience of helping shape new policies that affect your community and city.
