A convicted felon is now in custody and charged with multiple felonies, including Aggravated Kidnapping and Armed Robbery, following an investigation by the Chicago Police Department’s Citywide Robbery Task Force.
Marquis Terry, 21, faces charges in four incidents that occurred in the early morning hours of November 19, 2025. In each incident, multiple offenders approached the victims, displayed firearms and demanded the victims’ property. These four robberies all occurred within thirty minutes.
The first incident Terry is charged in occurred in the 1700 block of N. Keeler Ave. in Humboldt Park at 2:09 a.m. A 36-year-old male victim was driving when a vehicle stopped in front of him. Multiple offenders exited and pointed firearms at the victim. The offenders pulled the victim out of his vehicle, punched him multiple times in the face and robbed him of his belongings before fleeing.
In the second incident, a 52-year-old male victim was walking in the 4100 block of W. 26th St. in Little Village at 2:24 a.m., when multiple offenders exited a vehicle and robbed him at gunpoint. The offenders took his belongings and struck him in the head multiple times.
A short time later, a 31-year-old male was walking in the 2800 block of S. Komensky, also in Little Village at 2:27 a.m. Multiple offenders exited a vehicle, displayed a firearm and struck the victim in the back of the head before robbing him of his belongings.
The fourth and final robbery occurred in the 2700 block of S. St. Louis Ave. in Little Village at 2:34 a.m. During this incident, a 34-year-old male victim was forced into a vehicle at gunpoint by multiple offenders. After kidnapping him, the offenders drove to multiple ATMs and attempted to use the victim’s phone to withdraw cash. The offenders were ultimately able to withdraw cash at one of the ATMs. The victim was also robbed of his belongings during this incident. The offenders fled, leaving the victim inside the vehicle. The victim was able to flee and waved down police officers shortly after.
The Robbery Task Force was able to identify Terry as one of the offenders involved in these four robberies due to important information relayed by the victims, in addition to digital forensic evidence. He was arrested on December 4, 2025 by members of the Robbery Task Force with assistance from the 11th District Tactical Team and the Illinois Department of Corrections.
Terry is now charged with:
